Truth be told, I’m pretty WOWED by the new Holland Collection from OPI for Spring and Summer 2012. Rather than go on and on about it, I wanted to just show it to you because I thought it was too pretty for words! I’ll share some more thoughts after you enjoy the photos!
Swatches…

Rumor has it…this sandy bisque is a work of art.

What’s that you say? I need to “sea” this shimmery green-blue?
Kiss Me on My Tulips
A smooch-worthy shade of hot pink.
Pedal Faster Suzi!
This pink lavender shimmer will have you “wheeling.”

This coral-packed red is the hottest in the district.
Thanks a WindMillion

Wooden Shoe Like to Know?
It’s no secret…everybody loves this shimmery chocolate-brown.
Suzi says…
“Wearing these colors on fingers and toes will accessorize the season’s hottest trends,” remarks Suzi. “The varied palette of colors accentuates the looks that walked the runway, from colored pants and ladylike frocks to long, blousy-sleeved tops and dramatic patterns.”
I say…
In terms of application, the only one that posed a little bit of a problem for me was Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh? I don’t know if it was the polish itself or the brush I had, but it wanted to streak. A third thin coat helped for sure. Additionally, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes may require a thin third coat, depending on your desired coverage.
It may seem that I Have a Herring Problem and I Don’t Give a Rotterdam! are dupes, but honestly, they’re not. They’re siblings, but not twins! I found that all of the cream polishes gave fantastic coverage—and while all of the swatches were done with two coats (with the exception of Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh?), you may wish to use a thin third on some of the shades where shimmer is prevalent for total coverage.
Bottom Line: We’re impressed by the diversity of the shades in this collection—you’ve got a great combo of both brights and more mellow shades. The deeper shades could even take you through fall!
Price & Availability: The Holland Collection will be available February 8, 2012, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 each.
