BUXOM Pen & Ink Long-Last Eyeliners from Bare Escentuals are slender pens with chiseled felt tips that you can apply either on the thin or thick side, depending on what angle you hold the tip. While these are pretty sturdy, you’ll want to use light pressure during application, otherwise you may damage the tip.
I found that these are water-resistant and long-wearing, but if I rub my finger over them, they will slightly transfer which may make it or break it for some. The chiseled tip does make application a breeze, I’m able to get quite precise with them, which is something I’m often not able to achieve with tips that are slightly larger.

So far, these are available in two shades; P.S. (black), and Ciao (brown)—but I’d love to see more! How about an eggplant, amethyst, or royal blue? I’ve been using P.S. for about a week now, and it hasn’t dried out the slightest, so I currently can’t speak to how much wear you’ll get before the pen itself dries out. Anyone out there in Beauty Junkie-land have any experience with these? We’d love to hear!
Bottom Line…
I’ve never really had a lot of real estate to wear bold liner on my eyelids, so I love using the smaller side of the tip with these to create a tight-line effect. It will still help add definition to the eyes without intruding on precious space. They’re pretty moist when first applied and take a few extra seconds to dry—just make sure you don’t touch while drying, or you’ll run the risk of a smudge.
