What’s New: Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Season-To-Season Bronzer

I love bronzer, but I really prefer to reserve it for summertime use. Since I’m so fair, I think it can look pretty silly on me sometimes. The shades have to be just right too—no orange, please! Physicians Formula has created an affordable bronzer for people like me (and you too!), that you can customize—so you’ll get the right shade of bronze all year round.

Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Season-to-Season Bronzer is a new, multi-colored bronzer that features a shade for all seasons. You can combine them any way you want to adjust the tones for a healthy-looking, sun-kissed glow. Season-to-Season is available in two options; light-to-medium, and medium-to-dark.

While I’m hardly fully convinced that products like these can have too much of a skincare effect, it was a nice touch that Physicians Formula incorporated moisturizing ingredients in the formula. Kapi Kacchu seeds, polysaccharides, and carob tree extracts are just some of the finishing touches included. I have to admit, these bronzers are just really pretty to look at! The design element was well thought out. Initially, I thought the gold pearl center was just over-spray for looks, but it’s actually pressed all the way through. While it’s not much of a gold glow, it does add a very subtle pearl finish when you swirl all four shades together.

The brush is kind of a trip—you’ll notice it’s nearly heart-shaped. Its purpose is that it will allow you to pick up the amount of shades you desire, or you can swirl it all over to create one shade. I like pairing up the top two shades, or pairing both bottom shades together versus wearing them individually. I noticed this brush shed pretty easily, and it may be a little too coarse for the softness of the powder, as I wound up with some powdery fallout from using it. When I tried it with my regular bronzer brush—I didn’t have the powdery problem, so I definitely think it’s a brush issue. The brush and a mirror are stored in a compartment underneath the pan.

Bottom Line…

I love what Physicians Formula is doing lately, and these new bronzers are good buys at their price point. If there was one thing I could change, I would eliminate the glitter and go for more of a pearl finish. Even though the glitter is subtle, I think it’s a little much for everyday wear for me personally. I like both shade options for my skin tone, these are pretty universal and very forgiving shades. This is a product that anyone can wear and feel comfortable with their level of bronze, year-round.
