I typically do not like to wear eyeliner on my top lash line. Due to the shape of my eyes, sometimes an intense eyeliner will make my eye look closed off and take away from precious landscape. I do however, like eyeliners in unconventional shades, especially if they’re a little more on the subtle side—like these new-ish ones from Physicians Formula. They’re part of the Shimmer Strips collection of products, and they’re available in two trios; Smoky Eye, and Nude Eye.
Each trio is comprised of a softer black eyeliner, with two eye enhancing liner shades. The Smoky Eye trio enhancer shades are silver and charcoal, while the Nude Eye trio has champagne and pewter shades.

I think these liners are FANTASTIC, especially for drugstore. I didn’t experience any problems with smearing, tugging, or skipping, and the colors were gorgeous. I feel like with the eye enhancing shades, I’m able to wear them on my upper lash line, and they don’t close off my eyes. While they’re not as long wearing as something like the 24/7 Glide-On eye pencils from Urban Decay—these are fairly long wearing. I truly don’t have any substantial complaints about them.
Bottom Line…
For the price of a trio, these liners are pretty impressive! They add a little twinkle (not overwhelming glitter) to your eyes and subtly draw attention to them. The sharpener on the bottom cap is a huge help since these are slightly thin. Try popping them in the freezer for a few minutes before sharpening—it will help prevent a broken tip. The only thing I would change if I could, would be to add a little sponge/smudge tip in addition the the sharpener.
