Oh. Em. Gee.

Did you see the mystery tweets yesterday from your favorite beauty bloggers and Urban Decay marked with the #UD68 hashtag? I heard a knock at the door yesterday afternoon, and it was my handy UPS guy bringing me an exciting box from Urban Decay. Inside the box was a swanky token, an empty eyeshadow component. Whatever it was for, I knew it had to be something GOOD. The box had a very special message written on the inside:

We’re about the blow your mind. Tweet us a photo of your token for more deets. #UD68

I honestly had a hard time concentrating for the day after my tweet. Here’s the Twitpic I posted:

I woke up this morning to the GREAT news! Looks like Urban Decay revamped their eyeshadow single lineup, and I could not be more excited! I haven’t seen any of them in-person yet, but from what I understand—it’s a new formula with a more velvety smooth texture, and it’s more crease resistant. They’ve also added new shades that were previously only available in palettes. As if that weren’t enough, they’ve made it so your can build your own palette with them too!

The Urban Decay addict in me is squealing a little bit inside.

The second I have a chance to try out the eyeshadow formula, you’ll be the first to know! Will you buy any of the new shadows?

You can build palettes with them? I have two UD palettes, but I’d be willing to build one, too. :)

  • Amber

Hey TJ! Yep! The new component allows you to pop them in and out of a customizable palette compact. Whee!

Yay! I ADORE Urban Decay. I love their eyeshadows more than several family members. I can’t wait to see what’s new! I love several shadows in the Naked palette that are not available for purchase as a single, so I have my fingers crossed that maybe one of them will be released as a single. Even if my faves from the palette aren’t released as singles, I still can’t wait to see what they have.

Never tried Urban Decay, but looking at the colors on the website makes me want to buy them all. Like the fact that they are crease resistant. I am going to build a palette, now I just have to narrow it down to six colors.

I like the idea of the interchangeable palette as it gives me the option to take 6 of my favorite shades with me but doesnt always have to be the same 6 shades. It would be perfect for travel as I wouldnt have to lug around 6 individual pans. I could just take the ones i want with me!
