I think that almost everyone has a great Disney memory, right? I actually have quite a few excellent Disney memories—from my very first time visiting Disneyland as a child, to our first trip there to celebrate life as a newly engaged couple. For me, it literally is one of the happiest places on earth, and I have the photos to prove it—but the ones that I have tucked in my mind are still my favorite, even at 36.

Another one of my favorite Disney memories, is stopping into the big candy store on Main Street, to pop some change into the nickelodeon. (Oh, and to buy a candied apple!) I’m honestly not sure if they switch the films out, but every time I’ve watched, it played a vintage Minnie and Mickey cartoon. (And vintage Minnie was just so glam with the way she batted those flirty lashes.) OPI celebrates the vintage version of Minnie this summer, with the upcoming Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection. Check it out!

Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It, If You Moust You Moust, I’m All Ears, The Color of Minnie

Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It, If You Moust You Moust

More swatches, photos, and details…

I’m All Ears, The Color of Minnie

I’m All Ears is medium magenta shimmer with a jelly finish. I really like this one quite a bit, and it’s my fave of the bunch. You might be able to see visible nail line, depending how heavy your coats are. As shown, two coats.

If You Moust You Moust is a Pepto-pink creme. Even if this isn’t a very original shade, it’s still pretty, right? I think it will make a great summer pedi color.

The Color of Minnie is a cherry red satin/pearl. The pearl finish is very subtle, which I really like. Sometimes, if a red like this has too much shimmer in it—I think it comes off looking too frosty, and dare I say…a little, dated.

Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It is transparent sweetheart pink glitter top coat with heart confetti, suspended in a sheer pink glaze. The swatches for this are with three coats, because I really wanted you to see the opalescent-like glitter finish. Also, I was trying to get more of the hearts to transfer to my nails, but as you can see—I wasn’t terribly successful. I’m not going to knock OPI for the issue however, because it doesn’t matter what brand I’m swatching; I consistently have this problem with confetti glitters. One thing I did notice was the flow of the polish, which I think is better than it has been in the recent past (where I’ve thought that the base polish consistency was too watery).

All three shades with Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It…

This is the cutest collection ever! I’m all about pink everything, so I will for sure be grabbing a couple.

  • Joanna

Love If you moust you moust swatch. Cute!!!

  • Amber

It’s so funny Celine, because I’m the kind of person that is ALL about pink, and then there are the people who despise it. This is a pink-lovers dream though!

Aw it’s never easy to get hearts/stars/shaped glitter out of the bottle easily, but I love the idea!

  • Rise Isom

  • Melany

I think I am older than a lot of those who follow blogs on polish. I actually remember when Disneyland opened (the one in Anaheim! It was an easy thing for us to get to go. Grandma got discount tickets through her work. Grandparents loved to take me there and we lived about (back then – no fwys there – about 1 hr drive on surface streets). It was great from the opening. Then came the Matterhorn and well it kept on going after that. Frankly I burned out on Disneyland that I did not go back for eons after spending Grad night there post HS graduation. Now it’s a whole different world with FL and other Disneylands – far more movies too. I am at this point not too excited about this collection. I like I’m All Ears best. I know I have a Nicole by OPI just like Nothing Mousie Bout It.

Forgot to add – thanks so much for being on top of getting this collection line the last one yesterday swatched and up on your blog for us to see. The graphic bottle shots or photos of the display just don’t do it. We all wait to see the first swatch photos of the new collections.

Your swatches are adorable! I actually like that with Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It you have just a few hearts on the nails, otherwise it might look too cheesy.

  • Amber

Thanks so much for the feedback, beachgal! It only helps us get better! I totally had a Disney hiatus too, but since we live in SoCal, it’s kind of like our second home now. A very, very expensive one!

  • Amber

Thank you KellieGonzo! I’m really trying hard to improve the quality of each polish post from the last, trying out new things to see what works best. Thanks for hanging in there while I experiment. It’s good to know I’m on the right track!

  • Amber

I know, Melany :) That’s also the thing I love about nail polish! It just kind of creeps up on you when you least expect it. There’s just no substitute for seeing the swatches, even the ‘spoons’ that brands do just don’t do them justice! Often, the shade I liked least is the one I like most once I look at them on!

  • Ter

Yayyyy! Swatches! When I saw the glitter one the 1st time, I thought the hearts were mouse ears lol

  • Amber

Ter, mouse ears would have been AWESOME!

  • Ami

Does anyone know how similar Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It is to Love Your Life?

  • Amber

Hi Ami, I don’t think I own Love Your Life, but I’ll double check!

  • Ami

    Alright, thanks Amber! :)
