You know how they say you should never judge a book by its cover? Here’s an example of when you can; when a women’s fragrance is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside! Valentino’s Valentina eau de parfum is one of the most gorgeous fragrances I’ve tried in quite some time, and the bottle is as pretty as a picture.
I can’t get over how perfect the notes are—Valentina was carefully crafted by perfumers, Olivier Cresp and Alberto Morillas for Valentino with a blend of feminine florals and a touch of seductive amber. A blush of tuberose and wild strawberry further perfects the blend by balancing the warmth of the amber, so it doesn’t wind up too woodsy. On my skin, it gradually softens within an hour, taking on more of the feminine florals, and the bergamot comes alive to freshen things up. I’d say this fragrance suits women who like to give off a sense of sophistication and style.
Ancillary products will also launch; with Velvet Shower Gel and Satin Body Milk this month, and a body oil in September.
Bottom Line…
Valentina is a captivating fragrance that wears very elegantly for day or night. It’s a glowing Italian floral with the perfect blend of seductive amber to warm it up and keep it from being too sweet. If there was one thing I could change, I would find a way to improve the spray nozzle, because I think one squirt yields more than the average amount of fragrance—so spray mindfully!
