I absolutely LOVE color. It’s one of the reasons why I do what I do here, I have an extremely emotional attachment to color and it truly moves me. The one thing is, it’s really hard for me to wear it on my eyes, so I often choose a very bold lip for myself instead. Because let’s face it…my lids are getting kind of droopy and I’m not exactly a young’un any more. But Make Up For Ever recently sent over a great way that I can wear color on my lids, and it’s a SUPER easy look to create. No massive skills needed and you don’t need to be a blending pro to apply. I wanted to share it with you! Check it out…
It’s as easy as this!
- Apply a nude shadow from the upper lash line to the crease.
- Using a brush like Make Up For Ever’s #10S, sweep one of the pastels from the inner corner to outer corner of the eye, extending just above the crease while leaving the outer corner open.
- (Optional) Apply a pop of pastel to the outer corner of the lower lash line for a more colorful, playful pop.
- Follow up with mascara, like MUFE’s Smoky Lash.
What I thought was really cool however, is that they recommend this technique with some of their very best spring-like pastel shades, for wearable flashes of color. Let’s take a look at six of the shades from their extensive product line-up that they recommend for spring.

I know I’ve said it before, but the quality of Make Up For Ever’s eyeshadow singles is incredible. They may be a little pricey for a single, but the integrity of the product stands tall against competitors, and it’s a true pro-quality product. I’m very confident you can re-create and rock this great look for spring that will take you through the summer months! What do you think?
