Currently Loving: Too Faced Eyeshadow Brushes Essential 3-Piece Set

In my early twenties, I used to work as a department manager at an upscale department store, and one of the perks of my job was a generous house discount. At the time, I thought my salary was pretty kick-ass for my age (and with no college degree, to boot). The joke was on me, because NOW I know that I was getting paid peanuts for all of the hours I logged (and tears I cried). That job made me so broke, in so many ways, that I couldn’t even pay attention. I think we’ve all been there at one point or another in our lives.

Nearly every morning during my break (that would inevitably last too long), I would find excuses to saunter on down to cosmetics and chit-chat with the girls there, probably a little more often than I should have. And it was there that I had the same conversation with one of the counter managers, over and over again.

“Girl, you just need to invest in these eyeshadow brushes and get it over with. Those sponge applicators you’re using aren’t cutting it, honey.”

“I know girlfriend, but I cannot afford the brushes down here. Even WITH my discount. Car insurance this month, or eyeshadow brushes…hmm. Let me think about that.”

Let’s just say, a lot of time went by before I could finally purchase myself some decent makeup brushes. Truth be told, it was a very long time.

Flash-forward to 2012:

WHY DIDN’T THEY HAVE THIS TOO FACED 3-PIECE EYESHADOW BRUSH SET BACK THEN?

Ooh, more importantly, why am I yelling?

OH YEAH! Because this set is chock-full of awesome, and incredibly affordable. (Even for a gal like me back then, who was making peanuts.) I could have sacrificed a few mochas and sun-dried tomato bagels in the mornings without missing much, and then this set would have solved ALL of my eyeshadow dilemmas of 1997. If I knew then what I know now…

The three eyeshadow brushes included are your daily essentials for just about any eye look; Liner/Smudger, Lid/Smoker and Crease/Blender. They’re completely cruelty-free, and made with Too Faced’s famously luxe ‘Teddy Bear Hair‘. These synthetic fibers grab pigments perfectly without sacrificing performance, are long lasting, and easy to clean.

Bottom Line…

So do yourself a favor. Invest in some nice eyeshadow brushes for $39, will ya? Don’t be like me in 1997, it wasn’t a good look. The canister that the set comes in is a great addition, it will help protect your brushes when not in use, and is perfect for travel.

Price & Availability…

These brushes are so very cute! Love them!

I agree that it’s so expensive to get good quality cosmetic brushes, but it is such a good investment when I finally got my good set. A good way to look at it is, when your paying so much for makeup you need to give it the justice it deserves. Even though I already have my set, I would like to pick this one up for the case as I think it would be great to have for going away and as you stated, these brushes are multi-purpose.

@Stacie, They’re full size, so even though they are cute—they’re totally functional.

@Celine, I hear ya girlfriend! The first time I had a “real” makeup brush, there was no turning back! What’s cool about these too is that they’re so portable. You can literally throw the canister in a bag and it doesn’t take up much room, and the brushes are safe :)

I love Too Faced products, and I’m surprised that I hadn’t bought the brushes yet! They will be on my wish list!
