Even though Memorial Day in the United States is often celebrated by a three-day long, sun-filled weekend (with delicious barbecued treats), it’s officially observed tomorrow, Monday, May 28th. One day, or one weekend for that matter—isn’t long enough to show our appreciation to the men and women who selflessly serve our country, and for those who have paid the ultimate price while doing so. I’d also like to recognize the families of our servicemen and women, they make tremendous sacrifices so that their loved ones can proudly serve. This week’s Lipstick League is dedicated to all of them, and with that—I wish you a very Happy Memorial Day.
Question of the Week: What product will you definitely be sporting at some point this weekend (a holiday in the US)?
Answer: I’m actually going to try out a new sunscreen I just received—the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Broad Spectrum SPF (it has those cool moisture ribbons in it). It’s available in an SPF 12, 30, and 50—but I’ll probably just wear the 30 because my plans don’t involve a whole lot of sun. Truth be told, our BBQ passed away this week, and pretty much everyone we know is out of town. Our BBQ’d treats will be coming from a local (and quite delicious) rib joint!
