Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum
This time of year is when freckles start to appear, due to a little too much fun in the sun—or it can even be hormones that make your skin tone uneven. This makes tone-correcting serums and treatments very popular during the summertime. Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum harnesses the power of licorice root to eliminate dark spots that those issues can leave behind. Kiss your dull skin goodbye! Safe for AM and PM use, this is very concentrated—so less is definitely more. While I haven’t tried it long enough to see a result, I’ve always heard that licorice is an ideal skin brightener.
L’Oreal Sublime Sun SPF 50 Hydra Lotion Spray
L’Oreal recently launched a collection of Sublime Sun sunscreens, and I can honestly say that my household loves them all! The Hydra Lotion Spray has a fast-absorbing sheer cream texture that’s very lightweight and water-resistant. It’s available in both an SPF 30 or SPF 50 for a high level of UV protection.
Dove Clinical Protection ClearTone Deodorant
Since summer is the time of year where we show a little more skin than usual, I tried out this new deodorant from Dove. What makes this product unique is that it is supposed to gradually brighten and even out the skin tone underneath your arms. In all honesty, I cannot confirm if this is indeed true or not. What I can tell you, is that this fights my Sweaty Betty tendencies, and keeps me feeling dry and fresh all day.
Kerastase Masquintense Hair Mask
This intense deep conditioning treatment is a really nice splurge for your hair. Rich and luxurious, Masquintense doesn’t mess around! My hair is incredibly dry, thanks to a botched color job (I didn’t see my regular stylist!) I had last season. Now I have to baby it and give it plenty of TLC, and this product fits the bill on Sunday nights when I usually like to carry out weekly beauty rituals. If you spend a lot of time in the sun, or have damaged hair—five minutes a week is all it takes to smooth down roughed up cuticles, and add some shine back into your ‘do.
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray
Beach waves aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon! Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray makes it easy to create this popular hairstyle. I really dislike blow drying my hair when it’s hot, and I love this because it makes it possible to wear a carefree, air-dried style that still looks like some effort went into it. The sea salt and kelp adds a unique matte texture to the hair and holds a Gisele-like wave pattern without much fuss. And I can’t forget, it smells incredibly coco-nutty!
OPI Nail Lacquer in ‘Thanks a Windmillion’
The Holland Collection from OPI has 10 fun shades of nail lacquer to express your own unique style. ‘Thanks a Windmillion’ is a unique sea green with grey undertones for those who don’t care for summer brights. But the good news is, there’s a great mixture of neutrals and brights in the Holland Collection! So just take your pick.

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour
This nourishing tinted lip balm collection adds a little bit of sheer color to my lips and makes them feel soft and moist. These Chubby Sticks swivel up and never require sharpening, which makes them very convenient and easy to apply whenever I’m on-the-go. Available in 16 shades, I had a hard time choosing favorites—but if you’re twisting my arm, I’d have to say that I love the bright coral-pink of #13 Mighty Mimosa.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in ‘Candlelight’
If your shadow pulls a creasing or disappearing act, this might be for you! I live in Southern California, and summer is the WORST for keeping my eye looks intact. Primer isn’t even an option for me, I just have to do it! I like this pale blonde-golden shade to use as an anchor for powdered shadows. I also like the option of wearing it alone for a sheer, slightly shimmeing look. I see why this was awarded the prestigious ‘Best of Beauty’ award by Allure in 2011, and it truly lasts for me.

Stila Custom Color Blush in Self-Adjusting Coral
This shimmering, warm coral blush adjusts to the individual wearer’s own pH, morphing into a flattering summer hue. It’s very pigmented and smooth, so I have to be careful not to go to town with it! I didn’t find it to be too glittery, as it shifts into a soft, velvet finish.
