5 Perfect Body Scrubs for Summer

I’m typically a body scrub buff year-round, but this time of year I like to pay extra attention to those tough, dry areas on my arms and legs that can make a self-tanning adventure go horribly wrong! Whether you’re prepping for self-tanning season, or just want to reveal fresh, soft skin, it’s time to try one of these body scrubs to get the job done!

DollyMoo Tangerine Oat Body Scrub

I have become SUCH a fan of DollyMoo products! This delicious body scrub is made by hand by two sisters (Nicci and Amy), who have a passion for health and wellness, and it’s obvious that they put love into everything they make. No funny stuff here, all you’ll find is: dead sea salt, pink Himalayan salt, dendritic salt, grape seed oil, Vitamin E, organic dried citrus peels, dried oats, and pure citrus oil. This results in a delectably scented, clean-rinsing, skin-smoothing scrub that I cannot get enough of!

Bodycology Coconut Lime Twist Body Scrub

This new scrub from Bodycology quickly made it to the top of my list for a few reasons! For one, I love that it’s in a convenient squeeze tube which makes it easy to keep in the shower. Another; it’s a sugar and shea scrub, which means that it doesn’t sting like traditional salt scrubs do, and the shea and soybean oils envelop my skin in silky softness. Plus, the coconut lime fragrance is divine!

Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Scrub Velvety Skin Polish

I’ve never been let down by this amazing body scrub from Bliss—it’s an old favorite of mine, and will probably be until the end of time! It’s an incredibly creamy exfoliant that gently buffs away dead skin with small granules, but leaves the skin hydrated due to its moist and creamy base. I use this on the troublesome dry spots on my knees and elbows, and I’ve never been let down!

Splurge Skincare ‘The Rub’ Almond Sugar Scrub

I have to tell the WORLD about this artisanal, hand-crafted bodycare brand from Massachusetts! Created by two teachers who went back to the drawing board until they got it right, their products are both pampering and functional! I’m a huge fan of their almond-scented body scrub, The Rub. This sugar-based scrub is loaded in several skin hydrating essential oils, along with shea butter, aloe, Vitamin E, and bitter almond essential oil. This is a must-have for any almond-fragrance fan!

NUANCE Salma Hayek Macadamia Nut Exfoliating Body Cleansing Scrub

If traditional body scrubs are a little harsh and rub you the wrong way, you’re in for a treat with this one from Salma Hayek’s line for CVS/pharmacy, NUANCE. Macadamia nut oils and tiny micro-beads gently slough away dead skin to reveal softer, fresh skin. A blend of coconut oil, shea butter, and Vitamin E blankets the skin with moisture to treat your dry skin right!

Oh No!!! Bodycology discontinued their old line of scrubs.  I loved Coconut Almond Sugar Body Scrub in the jar.  That is an amazing scent.  But the new ones do look good so I’ll give them a try.  The others listed sound nice as well.

Try them, Melody! IMHO, I think the tubes are a little nicer than the jars :) They came out with some great new fragrances too!

I’m a huge body scrub person year round too. Thanks for introducing me to a few new scrubs. :)

You’re so welcome! I loved exploring some new ones too. I was so impressed with the indie brands this year :)
