This is more of a ‘first look’ of a few pieces from the upcoming Cinema Noir Collection from Laura Mercier for fall 2012 in lieu of a full review. I haven’t had a chance to test the wear time of the polish yet, and since this is my first Laura Mercier polish—I have to! But I do know one thing for sure, the eyeshadow duo is fabulous. Let’s take a look at two offerings from Cinema Noir!

Mystere is a very sultry fall eyeshadow duo. You look at a medium taupe-brown, and a navy-sapphire blue, and you think it’s all very unassuming. I think it’s very sexy, smoky, and vintage screen siren-y! Which is pretty much what the entire Cinema Noir Collection encompasses, in a nutshell. I have many Laura Mercier eyeshadows, and this duo is up to par with the LM shadow quality I’ve become accustomed to.
How CRAZY pretty is this cocoa nail polish? I have a ton of browns in my collection, but nothing this, dare I say…’sexy’ of a brown. It’s not drab, it’s not vampy looking, and it doesn’t scream old-lady. At least in my humble opinion! It’s a little early to pull this out, but for fall, this will be one I am all about. While I don’t know about the durability of the polish, I do know the coverage was excellent in two coats, and it had a nice flow. Two very important things!
There are other pieces in the Cinema Noir Collection, make sure to check them out here.
