I know, I know. These nail polish shades are bananas! They’re from Maybelline’s new Color Show collection of nail polishes, and I could not believe how comprehensive the Color Show lineup is. It’s 30 shades—with an additional 10 special effect shades! I’ve picked seven of the hottest colors that I thought were must-have material, although there’s more good stuff where this came from.
Top: Sweet Clementine, Tenacious Teal, Shocking Seas
Bottom: Pinkalicious, Coral Crush, Pink Shock, Orange Fix

The formula…
Often, I’m not impressed with mass brand nail polish formulas. While there are a few brands I like—I didn’t expect to be so impressed with Maybelline Color Show. I found it easy to achieve full opacity in two coats, and it has a great flow! Color Show dried extremely fast for me, even though it’s not billed as a quick-drying formula. I’ve only had these in my possession for a few days, so I haven’t been able to evaluate the wear time. From what I’m hearing in the blogosphere so far—it wears well for 4-7 days. I know that several of these shades MUST be dupable with higher-end brands. Going off of memory alone, I see several OPI dupes here. In my opinion, these are a go!
Maybelline also did something really fun with this launch. They’ve created an app for your smartphone that allows you to virtually try on all 40 shades.
Swatches…
Pink Shock is a scorching hot pink cream.
Shocking Seas is vibrant blue cream.
Tenacious Teal is a teal-jade cream.
Sweet Clementine is a tangerine cream.
Pinkalicious is an orchid-pink cream.
Coral Crush is pink-coral cream.
Orange Fix is a nearly neon orange.
Did you know…
By adding a thin coat of a white polish, like Color Show in Porcelain Party, you can make your bright nail polish shades even brighter. Orange Fix without a white base is above—and it’s pretty bright. But check out how vibrant it becomes with Porcelain Party!
