With the Olympics just around the corner, world champion and Team USA gymnast, Jordyn Wieber took time out of her busy training schedule to chat with me in an exclusive Q&A! As a P&G Beauty Ambassador, she dishes the scoop on a few of her must-have beauty products, her grueling preparation to win the gold, and how she maintains her confidence in such a competitive environment.

Q: You’ve already accomplished so much in the gymnastics world, and you’re so young! At what point did you set your sights on being an Olympic athlete?

A: I started doing gymnastics when I was 4 and then starting competing at age 6. I quickly excelled through the levels and earned the title of elite gymnast at age 10, which is when I decided that I wanted to try to make an Olympic team.

Q: I bet you are in the midst of some pretty intense training, what’s a typical day like in the life of Jordyn Wieber?

A: I wake up at 6:30AM and go to practice for 2.5 hours. Then I have school for about 3 hours and I go back to practice for another 4.5 hours.

Q: What product in your beauty arsenal are you currently obsessed with?

A: I’m currently obsessed with COVERGIRL Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers Lipgloss in Caramel Apple Splash because I love the fresh, fruity flavor.

Q: It takes a lot of confidence to do what you do, where do you draw yours from?

A: I draw my confidence from going to practice every day and perfecting my routine. I also continue to draw inspiration from my family, teammates and girlfriends.

Q: Let’s say an airline lost your luggage, with all of your makeup included! What three everyday essentials would you have to replace immediately?

A: COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara, COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 3-Kit Shadows, and Olay 2-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths.

I wish you the best of luck in London, Jordyn! Bring home the gold!
