Sometimes, it’s hard for me to feature fragrances. Everyone has different taste, and they’re not exactly swatchable, right? They also can be difficult to explain, but these new Aromatic Blends from Kiehl’s offer something for everyone! I’m absolutely head-over-heels for them, so I had to share.

Whether you like soft florals, earthy, woodsy, or slightly citrus fragrances—the Aromatic Blends have you covered! The fragrance mists aren’t too perfumed and over-powering, and the body products have been proven to provide long-lasting skin hydration due to their botanical oil bases and lack of harsh surfactants. Move over, high-alcohol content and sulfate-laden formulas—Kiehl’s has something more nurturing for your skin that still smells unique. The ingredients in Kiehl’s new Aromatic Blends are naturally derived, and sustainably sourced.

Like Kiehl’s iconic Creme de Corps, there’s a botanical blend of avocado, olive fruit, sweet almond, apricot kernel, and sesame seed oils to help deliver moisture and softness to the skin in the Skin-Softening body formulas (body cleansers and lotions) in the Aromatic Blends collection. The Aromatic Mists are pure and sensual fragrances that focus on the quality of two unique notes, to keep them simple and pure.

David Suffit, Assistant Vice President, Fragrance Development for Kiehl’s shares the process:

“…the goal here was to scour the earth for the best ingredients, and create fragrances that are of the highest quality with simple, clear, and unique constructions, where customers can truly experience the purity of the fragrances while being transported to the origin of sourcing. This is the Kiehl’s way.”

The Aromatic Blends…

Fig Leaf & Sage

The notes of Fig conjure up images of the south of France with its lush countryside, while the nutty, herbaceous Sage is evocative of the northern Mediterranean coast.

Vanilla & Cedarwood

Vanilla is derived from the exotic Vanilla orchids grown on sustainable farms in Uganda, while pink–like Cedarwood is reminiscent of tobacco farms from the southern United States.

Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit

The Nashi Blossom—an Asian pear blossom—evokes harmonious, zen–like imagery of the Japan’s Kyoto Gardens in Japan, while the fresh aroma of Brazilian–born Pink Grapefruit heightens the senses with its rich, sweet scent.

Orange Flower & Lychee

Orange Flower is evocative of the charm and exoticism of northwestern Morocco, while fruity–floral Lychee is inspired by the sub-tropical forests of Southeast Asia.

The Fig Leaf & Sage Collection—one of my favorites!

Bottom Line…

What a LOVELY collection of fragrance blends! I know these won’t be for everyone, but these Aromatic Blends take you on an olfactory journey to parts of the world that might otherwise be unseen. With fewer key ingredients than in traditional fragrances, those proportions included are actually a little higher—resulting in truer, distinctive renditions—unlike traditional “perfumes”. These are truly sophisticated blends! I have several faves here. Additionally, I think the Fig Leaf & Sage, and Vanilla & Cedarwood scents are unisex.

They sound luscious! Thanks for the review

These are all wonderful, but I bought the fig to get out of my citrus comfort zone. I wish I had known that they offer a four pack with small versions of all the scents. But I happy to have fragrance back in my life. I have been looking for a cologne for quite awhile. The plain, simple bottle is appealing to me too.
