Review & Swatches: Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick

About six weeks ago, I got my hands on a sample of Tarte’s new Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick, and I didn’t want to let it go. I’ve since been dying to try them all—and the time is finally here! These new long-wearing lipsticks contain Tarte’s hallmark Amazonian clay, and they feel oh-so-comfortable on my lips due to all of the hydrating benefits of mango, avocado extract, and shea butter. But you know what’s even better than a lipstick that feels good on your lips? One that has incredible pigmentation too—and Glamazon lipstick is certainly not lacking in the pigment department!

Aside from the pretty wooden tube, Glamazon Pure Perfomance Lipstick has a lot going for it. Tarte says that Glamazon will wear up to 12 hours. So did it?

Glamazon Lipstick applies like a dream come true! It’s so smooth, that it glides across my lips without any skipping or tugging—and the eight shades are gorgeous. It’s so saturated in pigment, that I can get full coverage on my lips with a swipe or two. So you know I love it, right? The’re very creamy too, and they don’t dry out my lips.

While it’s supposed to wear for up to 12 hours, the longest I’ve gone without a touch up is a little over five hours while wearing it. I think it lasts longer on me than an average lipstick, but I definitely didn’t go 12 hours. The bright shades slightly stain my lips, especially Foxy and Wild, and I liked the color they left behind. If you’re in the market for a new lipstick with vibrant color (that feels good on your lips too), you’ll definitely want to grab a few of these babies. It’s a great formula!

Bottom Line…

Tarte’s new Glamazon Pure Performance Lipstick definitely would have been 5 stars in my book, had it worn a little longer. While I didn’t quite get 12 hours of wear out of it, I was able to wear for about 5 hours without any issue.
