Oh, you have NO idea how much I’ve missed you all. I’ve spent several days watching Bravo in bed while couped up with some nasty bug. By the way, I think Watch What Happens Live and Million Dollar Listing L.A. are my two new favorite shows. (*sigh* I know.) Ideally, I would have had these gorgeous new lip shades from MAC up for you a few days ago—and I truly apologize! But here they are! The new Cremesheen + Pearl collection is home to eight lipsticks, and seven Glass shades—I have a few pieces from the collection to share. Ready? Go!

Shades From the MAC Creamsheen + Pearl Collection

From MAC…

A shimmering twist on an instant classic. Cremesheen Lipstick and Cremesheen Glass get infused with crushed pearl in 15 new Asian-inspired shades. Modern pinks, nudes, and corals pop and glow against all skin tones with a light-reflecting finish that leaves lips luminously and decidedly lacquered. With foolproof coverage, gleaming shine, and creamy gloss, this smooth and seductive update to Cremesheen is Double Happiness for your lips.

These new lipsticks may have “frosted” in their shade descriptions, but don’t be scared. (When I think frosty, I know I get scared!) The finish is a little more shimmering than frosty in my opinion, but it’s a very soft amount of shimmer. It’s a nice and comfortable finish with buildable coverage. At first they seem a little sheer, but I’m able to get medium coverage with a few swipes. The Sunny Seoul shade is my new jam!

Pagoda, Floating Lotus, Rising Sun

Believe it or not, this collection marks my introduction to the Cremesheen Glass family. I probably shouldn’t say that too loudly for fear I’ll be extricated from the beauty community! I was so surprised with how creamy this gloss feels on my lips. I really like the texture and slightly glimmering finish. Usually when something looks so slick on my lips, it also means it’s going to feel tacky or too thick. Not so in this case! The pigmentation is pretty sheer on these, however. (You can tell there’s color there, but don’t look to these for coverage.) Ideally, these would be best for layering with your fave lipstick shades (looks super gorgeous with the new lipsticks in the Cremesheen family), and the shades are pretty interchangeable.

I hope you’re feeling better! I’ve never been a fan of Mac’s lip glass products.  They always seem too slick and see through.  However, after seeing swatches of these colors (and a few others), I might have to take a second look at the new cremesheens.  It seems to provide the more opaque type coverage that I tend to like.
