Don’t you hate it when your fave shade of lipstick gets discontinued? It happens ALL the time! Wouldn’t it be awesome if you were able to vote on discontinued shades, so that they could make repeat performances? Oh wait, someone just did! MAC recently held an online poll, in which customers voted for their favorite discontinued lipstick, Lipglass, and eyeshadow shades—and the results are in—here’s the By Request Collection!

If you love punchy color, then these matte lipsticks should have your name written all over them! The sad thing is, two of the shades sold out almost immediately when they were released just a few days ago. So, I don’t know if you’re going to have a lot of luck finding Candy Yum Yum or Moxie. (*insert sad face here*) I’ve never owned any of these shades, so imagine my glee when I opened Candy Yum Yum to see such a delicious matte neon pink! Moxie is also a matte shade, and it’s a scorching bright pink. The third shade, Rocker is matte as well, but it has some subtle micro-glitter which makes for a unique burgundy-red lipstick finish. I’m not joking when I say that these shades are total winners!

Cult of Cherry, Bait, Flash of Flesh

The winners in the Lipglass category are equally as gorgeous. Bait is an iris-pink with gold pearl, Cult of Cherry is a red pearl, and coming in third is Flash of Flesh; a light nude pink with pearl frost. I cannot get over how sensational Cult of Cherry is—and I don’t understand how I missed it before!

In the eyeshadow category, the clear cut winners were some mighty fine choices. Moth Brown is a soft metallic grey/brown, that makes a stellar smoky eye color—you could even pair it up with the sandy tones of Jeté. And while I have a ton of green eyeshadow, I can honestly say that none of them are really like Guacamole. Check out that green with a little bit of gold cast. It’s interesting, right?

Jeté — sandy coral veluxe pearl

Guacamole — light green with gold pearl frost

I’m curious to know—what discontinued MAC shades would you have voted for to come back?

That candy yum yum is a gorgeous pink! I’m a sucker for anything pink. I love my MAC Lady Gaga pink lipstick :)
