Review: Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Exotic Body Scrub

The name says it all! I couldn’t think of a better way to describe Ole Henriksen’s African Red Tea Exotic Body Scrub—other than “exotic”—and it doesn’t get any better than that. The scent is a uniquely subtle citrus fragrance, the quality of the scrub is nothing short of luxurious and the way my skin felt afterwards was…amazing. I started off thinking I was just taking a shower, but I left the bathroom feeling like I had a spa experience.

The main reason this stuff is so fantastic, is the Paraguayan sugar which helps exfoliate the skin and sloughs off those lackluster dead skin cells. Grapefruit, orange, and tangerine extracts work together to purify and brighten skin. Afterwards my skin felt invigorated, dewy, and refreshed.

After getting out of the shower, moisturizer was the last thing on my mind! My skin was soft, not sticky, tacky, or slick. It was just perfect. I love the fact that not only is this a great product that delivers results, but at the end of the day it saves me time during my busy morning routine by allowing me to skip a step (moisturizing) as I’m getting ready. Bonus points!

Bottom Line…

A delightfully-scented exfoliant that will transform your daily shower into a spa experience. I’m not big on handing out 5 stars, but this product was a hands-down winner for me.

Price & Availability…

Pretty pricey at $65! (And a whopping 23.5 ounces!) beautybar.com, olehenriksen.com

I’m sure it’s REALLY nice, but I just don’t understand why it costs so much??

I totally hear you, Vanessa! Sometimes I’m unsure of why brands have to charge so much for products too. My only guess is that since Ole is a prestige spa line, the pricing goes along with the rest of their retail products and the sourcing of their ingredients. But still, I know it’s pricey!

I <3 all things Ole! I love this brand because they use holistic ingredients in their products.

I’m such an Ole fan, too! I met him a few months ago, and I felt like a little fan-girl. LOL
