We’re on to week 2!

You might recall that last week, I introduced you to the new Revitalift Triple Power Collection from L’Oréal Paris. It’s time to start sharing my experiences (so far) with the products, and this week, I’m starting with the Revitalift Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer. It promises to…

  • Repair wrinkles — Restore essential moisture to help repair each wrinkle.
  • Re-densify — Rebuild skin’s network to help restore skin’s youthful substance. In 4 weeks, skin has a more youthful density.
  • Re-firm — In 4 weeks, facial contours are firmer and more lifted.

Let’s take a closer look!

Ingredients…

This is a facial moisturizer for both day and night, and it contains a few key ingredients. L’Oréal Paris incorporated a proprietary complex in the Revitalift Triple Power collection, Pro-Xylane™. It’s a 100% naturally-derived, biodegradable molecule extracted from the beech wood plant. This molecule was designed to penetrate deep into skin’s surface, and has been shown to enhance collagen production. In addition, the moisturizer also contains hyaluronic acid (which has been shown in certain grades to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water), to encourage moisture in the skin where it needs it most.

My skin’s needs…

I’m in my mid-thirties, and I’m starting to notice the development of fine lines (between my eyebrows), marionette lines (around the mouth), and fine lines (around my eyes). At the bare minimum, I need a facial moisturizer (day and night), eye cream, and sunscreen on a daily basis. I’ve been using the Deep-Acting Moisturizer consistently for the past seven days. I have used no other anti-aging products or treatments (except the products in the Revitalift Triple Power Collection) during this time, with the exception of the hydrators inside of a BB cream with sunscreen that I’ve been wearing each morning. I’ve tried to keep my skincare regimen as simple as possible during this four week trial.

My experience so far…

It’s only been a week, and any results I’ve seen so far are completely subjective. If anything (besides my skin feeling adequately moisturized), I think my skin feels a little firmer in some areas. It would be a stretch to say I’ve experienced anything other than that. So far, I like this moisturizer. The rich texture, light floral scent, hefty jar, and dedicated anti-aging ingredients make it seem like this belongs on a counter in a department store, not on a shelf at my local drugstore. There’s a very subtle luminosity to the moisturizer too, so it looks nice and wears well under my foundation/BB cream, without being too ridiculous at night. It doesn’t contain sunscreen since it’s a day/night formula, so I have to make sure there’s UV protection in my makeup.

Next week, I’ll share my experiences with the Revitalift Triple Power Serum and Eye Treatment!

From L’Oréal Paris…

L’Oréal Paris RevitaLift introduces Triple Power – three anti-aging skincare products designed to help fight the 3 dimensions of aging. When just fighting wrinkles isn’t enough, you need to go beyond a one-dimensional approach to restore skin’s youthful look. Challenge this approach with a powerful and luxurious cream (Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer) that visibly addresses the three dimensions of aging skin: wrinkles, loss of facial volume and loss of firmness.  The Revitalift Triple Power collection also includes a Concentrated Serum and an Eye Treatment.
