Currently Obsessed: Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip Moisturizer & Styler

Back in January, I decided that my new year’s resolution would be to take better care of my hair. I have such a bad relationship with it! The good news: I haven’t given up on my resolution. The bad news: my hair is still very dry—no matter what I do! It’s pretty inevitable since my hair is double processed with both color and highlights, which I get on a frequent basis. Heat styling also plays a role here, since there’s only so much heat a hair strand can take before the cuticle splits and gets roughed up. (Well hello there, 410° curing iron!) Welcome to my world.

Pantene comes to the rescue with their new Daily Moisture Renewal collection of shampoo, conditioners, treatments, and stylers that are perfect for dry hair like mine. Get ready to meet my new BFF from that collection—Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip!

Pantene Silky Moisture Whip

Silky Moisture Whip might look like your ordinary mousse, but don’t judge this book by its cover. Because it’s a mousse and so much more.

This baby is a fantastic multi-tasker, acting as a leave-in conditioning treatment, heat protector, and lightweight styling product. When it comes to moisture, think of this as body butter for your hair, only it doesn’t make it greasy or weigh it down. Silky Moisture Whip dispenses a cream-like mousse that leaves my hair looking shiny and feeling healthy. You know how some mousses seem to disappear into thin air after dispensing, and they get really foamy? Not so with this, it dispenses creamy, and stays creamy, without feeling heavy or sticky. While it doesn’t add volume or have a super holding factor, it does make for a great silky blowout with a little healthy bounce. Oh! I can’t forget—it smells just as good as all of the other products in the Pantene Pro-V lineup!

This is one of those products that you must try to believe, because it’s so different than anything else in the haircare aisle at my drugstore, that it’s almost difficult to describe just how unique it really is. I may not have a way to quantify Pantene’s claims of 48-hour moisturization from Silky Moisture Whip, but I can tell you that it definitely hydrates my hair and it makes it behave a little better. I’m super obsessed with this! I think it’s worth the few extra bucks.

Thank you so much for this post. My hair has been driving me crazy because mine as well is super dry and just looks plain unhealthy. I blow dry my hair every time it’s wet which I know is not helping the dry factor. I’m for sure going to try this out :)

Awesome! It’s so hard for me to do a nice blowout on my own, but I’ve found my hair actually looks decent when I use this! LOL

I bought a bottle based on your review and tried it yesterday. It’s really nice! Today my hair doesn’t feel at all greasy the way it normally does with mousse. Thank you so much for the tip!
