Moving on to week 3…
Last week, I introduced you to just one of the products in the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Triple Power Collection, the Revitalift Deep Acting Moisturizer. I’m back this week with the remainder of the collection and details on how the challenge has been going. Let’s take a closer look at the Revitalift Triple Power Serum, and Revitalift Triple Power Eye Treatment!
Just to recap…
Revitalift Triple Power Collection is a trio of skincare products that promise to fight the visible signs of aging on three dimensions; by repairing wrinkles, re-densifying, and re-firming the skin. L’Oréal Paris incorporated a proprietary complex in the Revitalift Triple Power collection, Pro-Xylane™. It’s a 100% naturally-derived, biodegradable molecule extracted from the beech wood plant. This molecule was designed to penetrate deep into skin’s surface, and has been shown to enhance collagen production.
My skin’s needs…
I’m in my mid-thirties, and I’m starting to notice the development of fine lines (between my eyebrows), marionette lines (around the mouth), and fine lines (around my eyes). At the bare minimum, I need a facial moisturizer (day and night), eye cream, and sunscreen on a daily basis. This post will focus specifically on my experiences so far with the serum and eye cream. I’ve been using these products consistently, both day and night for two weeks, without the use of any other anti-aging products.
Revitalift Triple Power Eye Treatment
The products…
The eye cream is dispensed from a slender tube that holds a unique applicator tip. It’s quite cooling to the touch under the eye area. I pondered why this would make a difference, I mean—I’m so used to just tapping my eye cream on with my finger—so why do I need a special tip? But I’ve actually been taking the few extra seconds to glide it on with the silver tip, and I now see why a tip like this would be helpful! Since it literally glides across that delicate area, there’s definitely less tugging and pressure involved under the eye. It also encourages me to make sure it’s completely absorbed into the area. I have such a bad habit of not taking the time to do so, otherwise. It’s definitely made me more aware. There’s a very subtle luminosity to the product, too. It’s a luxe texture, almost velvety.
The serum also has an interesting texture, it feels more like a lotion than a watery serum, but once it starts to absorb, it’s nearly undetectable on the skin. (Aside from a soft, velvety feeling. No heaviness or stickiness here!) Like the other two products in the Revitalift Triple Power collection, the serum also contains a very subtle luminous quality. In the photo below, I’ve applied it on the back of my hand, along with a little dollop of the serum so you can see the texture and healthy sheen it leaves behind. The serum has a light floral fragrance.

My experience so far…
Since it’s only been two weeks, I’m not really expecting miracles from the products. In all honesty, I usually don’t look towards drugstore brands for anti-aging results, but I do count on them for the basics. As I was telling Stef from We Heart This last night, I have to say—I’m pleasantly surprised by the Triple Power collection! While the results I’m seeing are completely subjective, I think my skin does feel a little firmer, and I think the lines around my eyes are softening a little. The skin under my eyes is also a tad less crepe-y on the surface. It’s good to know that I can look to a mass brand for the results I want to see. I don’t think any topical skincare product on the mass market can deliver the fountain of youth, but I do think I’ve found something that seems to help a little bit.
