A few days ago, I trekked out to LUSH in Santa Monica to check out their holiday collection for 2012. I’ve always had an appreciation for a good LUSH product, but I had no idea I would become so smitten by this world of wonder at a brick and mortar location! Shopping there is such a sensory experience, that I recommend everyone go into a LUSH boutique at least once in their lives.
I had to smack my hands several times, there was SO much that I wanted to buy. I know LUSH-lovers can relate with the sense of “needing” everything you touch in that place, because it’s just that good. Needless to say—I did come away with a few things (mostly holiday gifts, so hush), and now their new Popcorn Lip Scrub has a place in my home and heart. And maybe the Bubblegum Lip Scrub found its way to my house, too. (But we won’t talk about that. Yet.)
LUSH Popcorn Lip Scrub
If you like popcorn and want baby soft lips, I dare you to try and stay away from this. Comprised of the most simple ingredients, I cannot believe how authentic Popcorn Lip Scrub smells and tastes. This is such a salty-sweet treat for lips in need of exfoliation. Just touch the tip of your finger in the jar, gently rub it across your lips, and lick it off. Wah-lah! Your lips are ready for even the most chapping of lip colors and weather. I always have that one dark lipstick that looks horrible on my lips because they’re dry and flaky. This is the fix!
Popcorn Lip Scrub contains both jojoba and coconut oils, so it also adds some moisture back into my pucker—and the granules are pretty small, so they’re not too jagged. I’ve actually torn my lips up with lip scrubs containing larger granules—so the smaller, the better. I cannot praise this stuff highly enough!
