I’m loving the new Selena Gomez nail lacquer collection from Nicole by OPI like a love song! (And who knew?) Yes, I just said that.
“Selena is an ideal partner for Nicole by OPI. Millions of fans love her for the same reasons we do; she’s smart, talented, funny – and has an incredible sense of style,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “She has that classic ‘girl-next-door’ appeal, but she’s also edgy and fun – just like the Nicole consumer.
“Selena is not only a chart-topping singer and actress, she’s also a clothing designer and an active philanthropist,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “Like women around the globe, Selena has many interests and passions; this collection, with its diverse range of hues, offers a perfect match for every occasion!”

Selena is a pale peach creme that is actually my favorite of the bunch. It’s so delicate looking and has the most faint amount of pale sheen. This looks so nice and clean on nails, very demure and sophisticated!
Spring Break is a hot pink creme.
Scarlett is a violet-red with a gorgeous amount of twinkle.
Pretty in Plum is a purple-plum with deep violet glow.
Naturally is another one of those demure shades—it’s a sophisticated pale pink creme with a very faint amount of shimmer. It’s more like a subtle sheen than a shimmer, actually.
Love Song is a soft lavender creme, it almost reminds me of the color of a hydrangea flower, so pretty!
Hit the Lights is a vibrant lemon yellow creme. While I didn’t have any real application issues—this polish was the only one where the formula seemed just a little thicker than the rest of the cremes.
Sweet Dreams is my favorite glitter of the bunch. It has a mixture of hexagonal and small round glitter in violet, teal, and silver in a translucent base.
Stars at Night is a holographic bar glitter in a translucent base.
Mi Fantasía has round purple glitter with aqua bar glitter in a translucent base.
Kissed at Midnight has small round yellow-gold glitter, with a mixture of medium pale blonde gold hexagonal glitter in a translucent base.
Inner Sparkle contains lavender and pink hexagonal glitter with small round gold glitter in a translucent base.
Heavenly Angel is a iridescent mylar flake glitter in a slightly opalescent translucent base. This is best when worn over a dark color, and looks SPECTACULAR over deep blues, greens, and black.
Confetti Fun is a rainbow of glitter fun in multi-sizes; containing micro glitter, small round glitter, and both medium and large hexagonal glitter, in a translucent base.
Fun glitter combos…
Will you pick up any of the shades from the Selena Gomez Collection? If so, which one(s)?
I am SO pleasantly surprised by the great range of shades in this 14-piece collection! I’m having a hard time picking favorites, but I’d say that Love Song, Naturally, Selena, and Scarlett are my personal must-haves. Sweet Dreams is my fave glitter of the bunch, too!
In terms of quality of the polishes, I don’t have any real complaints—especially with the solid colors. They gave great coverage in two coats, and I thought the flow made them easy to work with. (Please note the thickness above on ‘Hit the Lights’.) The only thing I’d like to see different would be more concentration of particles in some of the glitters.
