I can’t even tell you, how much it pains me to show you something so gorgeous that is sold out online. The Making Pretty Collection sold out really quickly on the MAC site, faster than it arrived here, and I’m so sorry I didn’t have it for you then to help you make a purchase decision. But what I’m hoping, is that if you like either of these pieces, you’re able to find them at a MAC counter or free-standing store. Miracles DO happen…and it IS Christmas! You never know until you try!

  • Making Pretty Sheer Mystery Powder — $65 each
  • Making Pretty Iridescent Powder — $65
  • Making Pretty Brush Set — $100

Making Pretty Sheer Mystery Powder & Refill

I know the $65 compact price comes with a little sticker shock, but the good news is—it does come with a refill powder and an extra powder puff. The compact isn’t metal, it’s actually plastic, so it doesn’t feel as heavy as it looks which disappointed me a little bit. But then again, I don’t need another heavy item in my makeup bag. It’s just nice because it’s so swanky-looking to me.

To the touch, the powder is very, very smooth and works best for me as a matte finishing powder. I’m an NW20, and it’s a tad light for me—and I’m honestly not sure on the actual shade conversions for the remaining two shades; Medium Plus, and Dark Secret. For that, I’m sorry!mac making pretty lipstick runway red

Making Pretty Lipstick in Runway Red

With Making Pretty, there are also two lipstick shades, and I have Runway Red which is a re-promote. Runway Red is a stunning satin dark blue-red that feels super creamy as I apply it. It’s pretty opaque, and does slightly stain the lips. Runway Red wears for about 4.5 hours for me. (I do like wearing a clear lip liner with reds, and do recommend it with this!)

Will you be on the lookout for any of the Making Pretty Collection in MAC stores/counters, or do you already have some of the pieces?
