I know I’ve been teasing you with a few pieces from the new Too Faced Boudoir Beauty Collection for Spring 2013, but I needed some time to go through everything and put it to the test! I’ve had a chance to wear the Boudoir Eyes Soft & Sexy Eyeshadow Collection, and wow—it really IS soft and sexy. It’s a nine-pan palette with three at .07 oz. each, and six at .03 oz. each. Four of the shades are some of my Too Faced faves, while five of the shades are brand new!

Boudoir Eyes
Inside (where there’s usually a mirror), you’ll find a little detachable card with a cute note from Jerrod, and a fold-out how-to guide with three looks. One thing I cannot miss to point out here, is that both the Boudoir Eyes and The Secret to No Makeup Makeup (review forthcoming) palettes are housed in tins, versus cardboard palettes like in the past. This thrills me, because I’ve actually damaged a Too Faced palette with water on my bathroom counter. Yay! No ruining these!
I’m happy to report, that just like most Too Faced eyeshadows, these are pigmented and smooth. Lap Dance and In The Buff were just a little more powdery than the others when I picked them up with my brush—nothing horrible, I just wanted to note it. While I think all of the shades are gorgeous, French Tickler is an amazing black!

Bottom Line…
Major kudos for this new palette being inside of a travel and bathroom counter-friendly tin! With the exception of a few minor powdery shades (Lap Dance, and In The Buff—no biggie!), these shades are super smooth and blend easily. Some of the paler shades will fade without primer, so don’t forget one of my fave primers—Lemon Drop Shadow Insurance—and no worries! French Tickler ranks as one of the blackest black eyeshadows I’ve ever swatched in a single swipe, FYI.
