Fab Find: Bioelements Lutein Indoor Protective Day Creme

Occasionally, I’ll come across a beauty product that’s unlike anything I’ve ever tried, which is kind of hard to do in beauty nowadays with so many choices! But this intelligent product from Bioelements deserves a little special attention. While we’re all doing everything we can to protect ourselves from harmful UVA and UVB rays by wearing sunscreen, there’s another ray that penetrates even deeper than cell-damaging UVA rays—the dreaded blue ray!

Blue rays can be responsible for causing free-radical damage that leads to skin dehydration and premature aging—but get this! It comes from sources that we don’t even think about. Chances are, you’re sitting in an office or room in your home right now, and your skin is being bombarded by blue rays. Indoor lighting and computer monitors are the guilty culprits of this kind of damage, and Bioelements’ Lutein Indoor Protective Day Creme is the answer.

Voted “Best New Beauty Innovation” by New Beauty, Lutein Indoor Protective Day Creme protects the skin against premature aging by blocking indoor environmental assaults and adding moisture. Lutein is a powerful antioxidant (derived from marigold petals in this case, which lends the creme its yellow color) that has been proven to filter out blue light—which is something the typical sunscreen can’t do! By using this as your daily moisturizer under your SPF product of choice, you’re able to take your skincare a step further.

Lutein Indoor Protective Day Creme

Fortified with beta-glucans and natural humectants like sweet almond oil and jojoba, this rich and hydrating cream feels silky, yet lightweight on my skin and doesn’t interfere with my makeup application. It’s suitable for all skin types, and a little goes a long way. Use this to filter out blue rays, and help protect your skin from indoor environmental assaults!

It you like this cream and it works for you – great! The whole “blue ray” “blue light” thing is a myth. Something made up to make you buy this cream. Don’t perpetuate false advertising!
