Change is long overdue for me. I’ve been at an unhealthy weight for a very long time! As a matter of fact, I can’t recall any specific period of time since high school that I haven’t been stressed out by my weight. I have literally been yo-yo-ing my way through various nutrition programs for almost two decades. For anyone who can relate, you know it’s not a fun time. And frankly—I’m tired. I’m tired of the yo-yo-ing. I’m tired of not being able to fit in the season’s trends. I’m tired of being a wallflower, when I know I can be a taste-maker. So it’s time for change, and that time has come.
But here’s something funny—I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited by the prospect of being able to reach my goal weight, and actually staying there for once! The reason I’m so excited, is that tomorrow morning I’m going to embark on a fitness journey with Nutrisystem. The word “diet” doesn’t necessarily elicit the happiest of emotions, and I’m not viewing this as one. For me, this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship with myself, where I take better care of myself; and make my fitness a priority.
I feel like Nutrisystem is the best choice for my lifestyle, and I’m happy to have partnered with a doctor-approved method to learn portion-control, eat more sensibly (on schedule even), and with hassle-free meal choices. Half of the battle for me has been that I get so easily overwhelmed by food preparation, that I almost always opt for the most unhealthy of choices. Well, that’s going to stop—because with Nutrisystem—I’ll be eating three previously prepared balanced meals and snacks a day. (Along with getting a moderate amount of exercise. I’ll also incorporate fresh fruits, dairy, and veggies.)
I have 100 pounds to lose, and yes, you read that right. ONE HUNDRED. It’s going to take some time, but I know that if I stick with it, and you cheer with me weekly along on my journey, I CAN DO IT. So what do you say? I’ll check in weekly, I hope to see you here!
