Last month, MAC released the extensive Archie’s Girls collection, which took me some extra time to go through. Since the collection was so large, I decided to break it up into two posts; my “Betty” favorites (featured here), and my “Veronica” favorites which are featured in this post. Just because some of it is sold out online, doesn’t mean you won’t find it at a counter! So I feel this info is still relevant and wanted to make sure you didn’t miss the pieces I really loved.

MAC Ronnie Red Lipstick & Mall Madness Lipglass

Veronica’s tones are little more sultry than Betty’s, which were definitely very spring-like and girlie. Let’s check out the pieces I picked!

Mall Madness Lipglass

I picked two lip colors, and I chose these because these were the two I gravitated towards for my own personal use. I love the Mall Madness Lipglass, it’s a mid-tone pink violet lip gloss with iridescent sparkle. This makes a great everyday color and will be suitable for most skin tones, even though it’s more on the cool side of the color spectrum. It has the signature Lipglass texture and scent/flavor, slightly tacky for staying power with a little vanilla.

The Ronnie Red Lipstick was my second choice, it’s such a hot matte bright red lipstick! For me, this wears just over 5 hours before needing to be retouched, and definitely stains my lips a bright berry tone. For a matte, I find this less drying than usual, and it feels much creamier to me. It’s a fantastic texture with great staying power.

Pearlmatte Face Powder

Both of the Pearlmatte Face Powders in the Archie’s Girls collection are gorgeous products. (See the second, Flatter Me, here.) Featured in this post, Veronica’s Blush features two powder products in one—the base is a silvery-pink highlight powder (Play it Proper Beauty Powder), and the hearts are a deep pink blush (Frankly Scarlet Powder Blush).

Due to the shape of the design, it’s kind of difficult to use both products individually. (It’s much easier to use the light pink than the dark pink.) For those with fair skin, this makes a pretty blush when a brush is swiped over the entire surface, and for darker skin tones, it will make a pretty pale pink highlight powder. The texture is super soft and silky, and the hearts are not an overspray—they go all the way through the compact.

Double Trouble Nail Lacquer

Double Trouble Nail Lacquer

Double Trouble is an inky, deep navy blue cream nail lacquer that performed well for me. It had perfect opacity at almost one coat, but for consistency, it is swatched with two. I didn’t find the flow to be too watery or too thick, it was just right. I’ve noticed a little bit of inconsistency in the MAC Nail Lacquers I’ve tried lately, so I’m happy to report that this shade is a “yes”!

Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Petrol Blue

Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Petrol Blue

Petrol Blue is an AMAZING blue! Many of the deep navy blue liners that I own end up looking so dark that you can’t actually tell they’re blue—so this was an automatic WIN for me. The consistency of the Pearlglides are a little soft, so be sure not to press too hard. Aside from that, they’re great because they glide like butter. Without skipping or tugging, Petrol Blue delivers pigment and shimmer intensity without migration or heavy fading throughout the day.

Do we share any of the same Archie’s Girls favorites?
