I have to admit, what I’m trying to accomplish on my Nutrisystem journey feels a little overwhelming when I try to think of it on a large scale. I know that losing a cumulative 100 pounds isn’t going to come easy or without hard work, and I do find comfort in knowing that Nutrisystem counselors and other members can offer support online. But wow, this is going to be one heck of a journey! I’m trying to think of it just one step at a time—and it totally helps me whenever I get an unsure feeling. In all honesty, carrying this weight around has definitely made me feel less confident than I used to be, so that mindset will take some time to dissipate.
So here I am at week two, and I’m happy to report that I’ve lost 5 pounds this week! That brings my total weight loss so far to 7.5 pounds. WOO-HOO!
I’ve followed the program by the book, eating three Nutrisystem meals and snacks a day—and I even get to eat a tasty dessert. (Can I please just say how happy that makes me?) Of course, this also includes moderate exercise. I still have never felt hungry once! And I have to admit, the food is pretty tasty, especially the frozen selections in the Women’s Success plan. I’m not suffering in any way. Most other plans I’ve been on have made me resentful after just a few days, and feeling kinda crummy.
So far so good, as long as I remember that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
