How fun are these? This is my first time trying out luxury polish brand, NCLA. These new lacquers are playful pastel cremes with cute names. NCLA is a non-toxic, 5-free formula; free of Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Camphor, and animal testing. I immediately fell in love with the color story—I would wear all of them. It’s rare for me to want to wear an entire collection…I can’t decide which one to wear first. Right up front, I want to disclose that I have not had the chance to test the wear time on these yet. They were so cute and springy, that I wanted to bring them to your attention as soon as possible!
AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree
AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree is a pale mint creme. This one might take some special care with application. Its consistency is a tad on the thin side, and will look patchy and a little streaky with two coats. All is not lost, as I was okay with three coats. Allow some extra drying time.
Tennis Anyone?
Tennis, Anyone? is a bright banana yellow with a tad of green. This was another that required three coats, however I found the consistency to be less watery than AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree.
Don’t Call Me Peachy!
Don’t Call Me Peachy! is obviously a peach creme, but it has a little bit more depth than most pastel peaches. I was actually okay with this one with two coats. I don’t detect any real issues with the consistency.
As If!
As If! is a fun lavender creme, which I thought was literally perfect all-around. It has a nice flow, and even opaque coverage in just two coats.
Will you be trying any of these new shades?
Bottom Line…
You’ll find that Tennis Anyone? and AM:Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree have a little bit of a streaky/patchy finish with only two coats. I used three on those two in particular and was okay with that. I think it’s a fun, updated look on pastels for spring, with shades that could also take you through summer. A little more on the high-end side at $16 a bottle, but this is a little more of a luxury brand found at prestigious shopping destinations. I’ll be on the lookout for NCLA’s next collection!
