Seriously. How can you look at that nearly neon coral (Come Here!) and not go nuts? It was the first thing I noticed when essie’s Resort 2013 Collection landed on my desk, and I’ve gazed at it many times since. Except for last week when I went to get a pedi, and I chose the gorgeous aqua-azure, In the Cab-ana instead. I mean, how is a girl supposed to choose when given such great options?
I love that essie is stepping out of the box—continuing to take color risks, more and more with each new collection. Resort 2013 keeps on truckin’ in that direction. YAY, essie! All four of these shades are pretty playful, but they’re also really fresh colors in gorgeous, on-trend hues.
I have great news to report on the formula front: all four shades had a great flow, leveled nicely, and only required two coats for complete opacity. I never really question wear-time on an essie polish, because I’ve never had a problem with them in the past. I feel confident saying that these will wear well, provided you use a good base and top coat. Another product I highly recommend, essie’s Apricot Cuticle Oil. I actually have two bottles of it stashed at my house. One on my desk, and one on my bedside table. What can I say? I’m borderline obsessed with moisturized cuticles! If you use it at least once a day, you really should see an overall improvement in cuticle health. It’s one of the keys to a great looking mani!
