I know, I can’t hardly believe that I’m starting week 14 either—time is going by so fast! This week, I wanted to share some of the online features that I use on nutrisystem.com as part of the Women’s Success plan. On Nutrisystem, they don’t just send me a month’s worth of food and leave me out here all alone to struggle. Because let’s face it—losing weight is a struggle! I’ve always felt a strong sense of support and community, and the online resources that I have access to help me tremendously.
This is my program dashboard on the Nutrisystem website:
Every week, it not only inspires me with a motivational message, it also gives me hints to make the week easier. It’s kind of like a road map. It tells me where I am, where I want to go, and how to get there. In the real world, you’d get lost without a map if you were driving somewhere, and a weight loss journey is no different. Every day, I log my food and it gives me a calorie count so I always know where I am. I also log my water there so I’m completely aware of my intake.
What’s also really helpful, is the ability to track my weight. I cannot even tell you how exciting it is every week to log my weight, and then see a little graph that shows the decline. There’s also a section that calculates my body mass index (BMI) for me. To date, I’ve shaved 4.2 points off of my BMI! I love having a place online where I can hold myself accountable, and to keep everything all in one place. There are also forums where you can connect with other members who are going through the same things you are, the support system is fantastic.
This week, I weighed in 1.5 pounds less than last week. That brings me to a total weight loss of 29.5 pounds in 13 weeks! I know that having access to these tools on their website has really helped me because I’ve never felt alone. See you here next week for my week 14 update!
