Keeping it all in perspective…
I have a confession to make. Yesterday, I woke up, ready for my weigh-in. After all the things you’re supposed to do before you weigh yourself, I groggily stepped on the scale, waited for the numbers to flash, and there it was: ONE POUND LESS. I immediately jumped to the worst case scenario, practically hyperventilating in frustration. WHAT DO YOU MEAN ONLY ONE POUND? I’ve really been working hard at this. This can’t be true!
But then, I calmed down, and remembered that the average loss on Nutrisystem is 1-2 pounds a week, and at week 15, that puts me at at 32 pounds down. I don’t know about your calculator, but mine says that I’m averaging 2.13 pounds a week. So then, I felt a little more like a rock star than a loser.
Lesson learned: Don’t let that evil scale fool you into thinking you’re succeeding less than you really are.
