Nutrisystem: Week 16 Update


Greetings from the land of triple digit temperatures! This week wasn’t all that great for me, to be perfectly honest. I don’t mean to sound like Debbie Downer, but the heat has made me feel super lethargic, so I haven’t gotten anywhere near the amount of physical activity that I need. I’ve also been very dehydrated and feeling weak. You know what I blame that on? Not drinking enough water.

It’s always funny to me, that the amount of water I drink almost always correlates to the amount of weight I lose in a single week. Those weeks where I lose several pounds? I’m staying very hydrated with water. The weeks I don’t lose anything? I slacked off on my water intake. See how important it is?

There is good news to all of this! I didn’t GAIN any weight. So I’m hanging in there with a loss of 32 pounds in 16 weeks. Even more good news is, I have renewed my commitment to exercise. For the first time in 5 years, I purchased a swimsuit, and have started swimming. We have a beautiful pool, and I’ve been too embarrassed to go into it. But not anymore! That to me, is a huge non-scale victory.

And one more good thing—I’m monitoring my water intake much more closely. I’m not giving up! I realize I don’t necessarily have to have a perfect week every week to remain successful.

    Congratulations on your progress and on starting swimming. I have been doing Weight Watchers for 6 weeks and I lost 20 lbs and I also got into a routine of exercising daily, even when I am really tired. And yes, drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated is really important! Keep up a good work!
