Like most little girls, I was Hello Kitty CRAZY. Somewhere in my Mom or Grandma’s collection of worldly goods, there’s a Polaroid photo of me standing with Hello Kitty when I was about five years-old. I remained Hello Kitty-loyal until my bachelorette days were over. When I first met my husband, I had a Hello Kitty coffee maker and toaster. Admittedly, it was a little much! But now that I’m a little older, I still appreciate and love her, but I’m not as devoted as I used to be. This new collaboration though with OPI satisfies most of my Hello Kitty yearning these days.
This collection is super cute, and with colors I’m really happy to see. I can’t help but feel a little bit of glee inside with these. Ready for a closer look of Hello Kitty by OPI?

As impressed as I am with the shade selection, I’m equally impressed with the quality of the formula. For instance, 5 Apples Tall was a straight-up one-coater. My Pal Joey was nearly a one-coater as well, but I used two for the swatches. The only shade that posed an issue (and a tiny issue at that), was Let’s Be Friends! The first coat was streaky, but after two coats and top coat, it all worked out just fine.
As far as my fave shades? WHEW! Where can I begin? I LOVE LOVE LOVE Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel, it’s a fascinating pink glitter, but go for a thin third coat on that one to get the most color impact. 5 Apples Tall is a glorious red, and Spoken from the Heart is really pretty to me too.
