New from Stila for summer, these Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liners are complete hotness! Anything but ordinary, they’re available in eight fun shades. One of the hottest trends right now is a liner that adds a bright pop of color—these are perfect! There’s a tapered sponge-tip applicator, none of that thin and messy wayward brush stuff here. In addition to the fun shades, there’s a micro-pearl sparkle effect in them to add a twinkle to your eyes. [Read more…]
A few weeks ago I was watching QVC, and Maureen Kelly (the founder of Tarte—isn’t she gorgeous?) presented this. And for about an hour after her segment, I could not get my mind off of this palette. Just holding it looks like the most fashionable little clutch! Even my husband remarked, “That looks really nice on the model.” I kid you not. And I promise he wasn’t even complimenting the model herself, like in a “Gee…she’s hot” kind of way. He was truly complimenting her makeup. What she was wearing was inside this little baby right here—the neutralEYES Natural Eyeshadow Palette. It’s a refillable 10-pan compact with eyeshadows galore and more!
- 10 full-size eye shadows (neutral Amazonian Clay shades; matte bone, matte taupe, matte soft pink, shimmering soft peach, matte olive green, matte brown, shimmering bronze, matte plum, matte deep teal, and matte navy)
- Double-Ended Shadow Brush
- EmphasEYES Aqua-Gel Eyeliner in Brown
- Lifted Natural Eye Primer with Firmitol
It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed anything from CARGO—so let’s take a peek at one of the new spring items, shall we?

Hey everyone, it’s Amber…quick note, I’m NOT the one who’s preggers (scary thought, huh?), and deceiving title—I know. But BIGTIME congrats to Dilara who is expecting and reviewed the Sante line! She’ll be reviewing tons o’ things that are safe for her to use during her pregnancy, so when you see those references…I hope this clears up any confusion
Affordable, organic and quality? Really? That is what Sante Naturkosmetik boasts about their product line. I wanted see what an organic face felt like. I gotta say, it felt pretty good!
I am not a big fan of heavy foundations or concealers so I really appreciated that the Soft Cream Foundation lived up to its name—creamy, light and it blended right in with my natural skin. Because I am so fair, their No.1 was perfect for my skin tone. One pump was plenty—if you can master the art of the “half-pump” I say go for it! The Concealer Stick No.1 was another great match for my complexion and went on easily with no fuss. I like that it is in crayon form so you don’t have to worry about messy applicators. Just make sure you use a separate sharpener or clean your sharpener before using it. The last thing you want is black eyeliner mixed onto your concealer stick! Their Kajal Eyeliner went on smoothly and stayed put all day. The sponge blender on the end of the stick really helped soften the color. Sante also has an organic nail polish in a variety of colors. I tried colors No.14 and No.04 and loved how they went on evenly. I like how it comes in a square-shaped bottle which makes it easier to hold during application. The wear and tear lasts about as long as a regular nail polish, but in my book the impressiveness is the fact this product was made with organic ingredients. [Read more…]
Good glitter can be hard to find! Even though I’m not at a point anymore where I really want to sparkle much (1999 was another story, however!), I do like the occasional glitter liner—and I know there are plenty o’ gals that fiercely (and fearlessly) rock glitter all the time. Hats off to you my lovelies, here’s a brand out of Canada, Lit Cosmetics that you’ll probably love!
Their specialty is glitter, glitter, and more glitter, and they have a unique liquid base to keep it in check. We are talking COUNTLESS colors of glitter with varying finishes; metallics, solids, shimmers…you name it. On top of that, you can choose the size of your glitter—like how large the particles are themselves. Size 1 is the smallest cut, size 2 (what I tried) is the middle of the road, and size 3 is straight-up blingin’! [Read more…]
As I’ve been perusing the aisles at drugstores recently, I’ve noticed that texture is huge on eyeshadows and blushes. I know it has nothing to do with functionality…but it’s pretty—and that’s what this is all about, right? Because we like the pretty! Revlon has a new line of CustomEyes Shadow & Liner palettes that are worth taking a look at, so shall we?
The are six color combos to choose from, and I’ve had a peek at four of them; Party Pops, Rich Temptations, Naturally Glamorous, and Metallic Chic. Each one contains four eyeshadows and one more intense shade that is meant to be used for a liner. We like to break the rules, so let’s just say you’ve got five shadows in there and call it a day!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again—Urban Decay arguably makes the best long-wearing eyeliner pencils, in the most awesome shades, and now the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils 15 Year Anniversary Collection seals the deal. [Read more…]
