Happy Labor Day weekend, lovelies!
How sad is it that we’ll be saying goodbye to summer, soon? I know many peeps have already ducked out for the weekend to go glamping or participate in some other kind of fun recreational activity…lucky! I’m checking out for the weekend too, but wanted to pop in and deliver the latest from your Lipstick League honeys before doing so. Mr. BJU and I don’t have solid plans for how we’re going to enjoy the last big summer hoorah, but I’m sure we’ll wind up doing something fun. (I smell a barbecued ear of corn in my near future.) Please have a safe one!
Question of the Week: What compelled you to start a beauty blog?
Answer: Like many gals, I’ve always had a natural curiosity about beauty products, and I’m easily interested in shiny, colorful, pretty things! But it wasn’t until about 10 years ago that I decided to act on that curiosity. I started out by working as a hairstylist, and then decided to hang up my behind-the-chair status when I started working for a major cosmetics retailer. I spent some time there, while learning more beauty ropes along the way. I was always the recipient of questions from friends about what products were the best since I was surrounded by them all day, and I decided I wanted an interactive way to share these goodies with more people than my immediate friends and family. And that’s how BJU was born over four years ago!
