Say what you will about America’s current most famous TV family, but you have to admit—those Kardashian girls do have some style. Nicole by OPI recognizes their fashion savviness with 14 shades of their own nail polish, aptly dubbed—the Kardashian Kolors Collection.
“We are so excited to work with everyone’s favorite TV family – the Kardashians – to share a diverse collection of fashion-forward shades,” declares Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “With lacquers ranging from high-shine and sparkly hues to neutral taupe and pinkish coral, Kardashian Kolors offers the perfect accessory for every woman – from teens to moms and everyone in between.”
This post is very pic-heavy, but there are definitely some shades worth taking a gander at in-person too. This collection is a Walmart exclusive, and something tells me these will go rather quickly. If you see a shade you want, don’t wait!

Introducing 12 festive shades sure to get anyone in the holiday spirit this season, the Let it Snow collection from China Glaze has you covered from tips to toes. As you look through these swatches, which shades would you pick for your holiday season manis and pedis?
Blue Year’s Eve is a bright, shimmering blue. Two coats is all you’ll need to make this season’s nails bright!

Zoya’s latest, Gems & Jewels gives us three new shimmering metallics, and three glitzy glitters for holiday 2011. I haven’t used any Zoya shades for a few months, so it was nice to fall right back into great quality and stunning shades. I can’t recall ever being let down by Zoya, and this collection keeps me happy! I appreciate that there’s a bit of holiday flare here, but it’s anything but the traditional red and greens that we often see for the season. I love that I can wear these shades and not think of Santa Claus if I wanted to wear one in March!
Noel is an icy, pale blue metallic with silver shimmer. Last year’s Zoya holiday collection provided a similar shade, Crystal—however Noel lacks the glitter, but still has the remarkable color quality.
Twila is a bright blue glitter in a clear base with holographic blue bar glitter.
Two coats of Noel and one coat of Twila, my fave combo! [Read more…]
I’m plowing through Votre Vu’s SnapDragon Creme Pour Le Corps and bebe Duette this week like they’re going out of style, but thank goodness they’re not—because they’re total anti-dry skin rockstars. This French line has got it goin’ on! Check ’em out…
SnapDragon Creme takes on all of the characteristics of the Votre Vu SnapDragon Beauty Beverage, talk about things that make you go YUM! This antioxidant-rich body moisturizer has the most juicy citrus scent that I can’t stop sniffing, and I can’t stop drenching myself with it before bed from my neck to my toes. Green tea extract, grape seed oil, coconut oil, vitamin E, aloe vera, acai, vitamin C, ginkgo biloba, and vitamin A (you know, all the good stuff) is in here to nourish your skin and leave it in a state of regenerative bliss. This is a true treat for the body, and it’s chock full of anti-aging benefits. And by the way, if you haven’t tried the SnapDragon Beauty Beverage yet—I’d order some of that too! [Read more…]

No holiday would be complete without a glitter polish for twinkling fingertips and toes, and this year is no exception. Nicole by OPI offers up four new shades to brighten your polish collection (and your winter). It’s easy to transform your nails into 10 sparkling, bejeweled accessories with just a few coats of each!
“The holiday season’s celebratory feeling lends itself to added glitz and glamour in fashion, jewelry, accessories, and most importantly – for nails!” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “The four alluring Holiday Glitters shades offer a great way to add lots of color. Red and gold glitter tones offer a more classic holiday look, while magenta and sapphire blue incorporate rich, weighty jewel tones – which is another important trend for the season.”
Orna-Ment For Each Other is a fiery red glitter with yellow-gold and possibly orange microglitter. It’s truly hard for me to tell, but in certain angles—it looks as if some of that fire is a reflection of the gold and red casting light on each other. This is my favorite of the bunch due to that quality!
Snow-Man of My Dreams is a predominantly sapphire glitter with added multi-color micro-glitter. If Absolutely Alice and Mad as a Hatter from the OPI Alice in Wonderland collection from 2009 got together and had a baby, Snow-Man of My Dreams would be the result! [Read more…]
Back in the day (and I mean a long, long time ago), my Grandma used to go nuts over J.R. Watkins Natural Gourmet Extracts—she’d buy them whenever she could. Unfortunately she’s not as healthy or as young anymore, but I know she’d be appreciative of the ease of finding them now if she could remember. Back then she’d have to wait for the “Watkins Man” to come knock on her door!
I’m just happy I can now order them online and experience the same flavors that she did in her baking, and they’ve added quality personal care items to their product line-up too, that promise “Back-To-The-Garden Beauty, From a Company as Old as Eve.” I love it! And that’s something my Grandma would totally say, too.
One of the first reasons I love these guys…the fragrance!
I really hate to say this, but it’s been quite some time since I’ve watched Project Runway, which is why I was surprised to be so excited about the L’Oreal Project Runway “Colors Take Flight” Collection—and I know I’m not alone. I went to three places in one day and the displays were practically wiped out, that was fast! I’m thinking my local CVS received more pieces than other stores, when I returned on a second visit, there were more available and I was able to see almost all of the collection in-person finally. Some of the shades were kind of gutsy for mass retailing—a quality I’ve grown to appreciate from L’Oreal on a consistent basis in their limited edition collections. Project Runway featured artist Collier Strong helped develop this tasty assortment of shadow quads, blush shades, lipsticks, and nail polishes to represent the show’s product partner for fall 2011. I most certainly could not wear about 95% of the fashions featured on the show, but I’m happy to say that Colors Take Flight features a dramatic, yet pretty wearable palette. I wish I had more to share with you!
The collection was created around four very distinctive looks with an exotic bird theme; The Audacious Amazon, The Charming Cockatoo, The Watchful Owl, and The Sultry Raven.
The Audacious Amazon — Bright eyes with a dramatic fuchsia lip
The Charming Cockatoo — romantic eyes with a deep burgundy lip
The Watchful Owl — Metallic eyes with a red lip
The Sultry Raven — Smoky eyes with a nude lip
