Over the past year, BB creams have been hitting U.S. shelves faster than a lightening bolt. Once made famous in Asia for their multi-tasking abilities, BB creams are considered to be “beauty balms”, or “blemish balms”. They’re pretty functional products; often they’re an all-in-one product that promises to hydrate, prevent, repair, and give a little coverage. Having owned a few that are a little closer to traditional Asian BB cream formulas, I think that most of them on the U.S. market right now act more like tinted moisturizers. You’ll often hear true BB cream aficionados complain that our versions are not really much like Asian BB creams at all. Of course, the formulas have been tweaked to target the U.S. customer.
Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm is Maybelline’s answer to the latest cosmetic craze, and it officially launches next month. Let’s take a closer look!
