If you’re not familiar with hyaluronic acid in skincare products — it may be time to get acquainted. You don’t have to have wrinkles to benefit from this powerhouse ingredient, because it’s amazing for hydration. When you have adequate skin hydration, your skin thanks you, immensely! And if you’ve got wrinkles — hyaluronic acid can be one of the ingredients to add into your skincare routine to help soften and plump lines. Did you know that hyaluronic acid has the ability to hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water? It helps retain moisture and strengthen the skin. It’s actually one of the ingredients I look for when I buy my own skincare products.
The newest product from Kate Somerville promises to help minimize those pesky expression lines on the forehead, in-between your brows, and those just lovely marionette lines (which I’m currently experiencing). Just launched on QVC, Wrinkle Warrior is the latest innovation from Kate to address those issues.
I’ve used a lot of hyaluronic acid products for years — but this is the first time I’ve seen a product that features not just one size of hyaluronic acid molecule — but it has three. These three different molecular sizes of hyaluronic acid actually target various layers of the epidermis.
The three hyaluronic acid molecules…
- The largest sized molecule encourages moisture on the skin’s surface layer.
- The in-between sized molecule rejuvenates the skin by improving the skin’s elasticity.
- The mini sized molecule provides instant penetration to the skin, it’s more easily absorbed, and since it travels into deeper layers, it provides a plumping effect.
There were some independent clinical tests done on Wrinkle Warrior — and the claims are kind of amazing. After one use, 100% of women showed improvement in the appearance of crow’s feet wrinkles, fine lines, and moisturization after just 30 minutes. This is a claim that I can personally speak to, as I’ve had the product for a little over a week and notice that my marionette lines are temporarily much less visible after those 30 minutes. The results last all day for me.
The other result in the Wrinkle Warrior clinical testing, was that 97% of women showed “highly significant” improvement in the appearance of skin firmness and tightness with four weeks of consistent use. I haven’t used it that long, and to be honest I don’t have deep wrinkles so I’m not going to be able to speak to that aspect of the product. But I can say that I’m happy with what I’ve seen so far.
This is more of a spot treatment versus an all-over facial moisturizer, and you don’t need to use much during your application. It’s clear, feels silky, and is undetectable on my skin. I need to continue using this product to see full results, and if it helps eliminate those marionette lines I’m fighting — I’ll be stocking up.
