The tranquil scent of lavender is one of my favorite things in the world. Right now, the lavender fields are lush in the South of France — look how beautiful! L’Occitane is one of my favorite brands for all things lavender, and I wanted to share a few of my top picks.
The Lavender Eau de Cologne is divine for summer, and if you ask me — I think it’s fair to say that it’s a unisex scent. It has a beautifully refreshing blend of lavender, with some woodsy and light musk notes that make it perfect for warm-weather days.
I’m also a huge fan of L’Occitane’s Lavender Hand Cream, it’s loaded in shea butter, grapeseed oil, Vitamin E, coconut oil, and the delicate fragrance from lavender oil.
When it comes to lavender skincare products — it doesn’t get any more authentic than this! And to celebrate 40 years of L’Occitane, they’re also releasing a special edition version of their iconic Lavender Foaming Bath. It is absolutely a TREAT, and lulls me into slumber, every time!
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, L’OCCITANE is also celebrating Provence, the land of its birth, through a limited-edition collection based around its most famous flower. The packaging features a new design, inspired by fields of lavender seen from the sky, which trace diagonal lines across the plateaus of Haute-Provence, filling them with color. The brushed-aluminum bottle is inspired by the “estagnon” – a metal bottle that was used in the past in Provence to preserve fragrant essences.
Lavender is a symbol of Provence, an iconic flower whose aromatic scent has a relaxing effect and gives a feeling of well-being. The essential oil used in this bubble bath is PDO* lavender essential oil from Haute-Provence. This quality label is awarded to essential oils from Haute-Provence, distilled using traditional methods from fine lavender that grows at an altitude of over 800 meters, within a specific geographic area. L’OCCITANE is actively involved in helping to protect and preserve this fragile flower, which tells of the emblematic landscapes of Provence, so rich in color and history.
Also known as “Blue Gold,” lavender has a scent that evokes sheets dried in the sun or the warmth of hot summer days. Its aromatic, authentic fragrance fills the bathroom.
