Sundays and Wednesdays are selfcare nights for me, I always treat myself to a facial mask. I’ve had extremely great results with a few I’ve tried lately! We all like a little bit of instant gratification — especially when it comes to our beauty products! Here are six facial masks that delivered immediate results for me.
If hydration is your main concern, you’ll likely want to check out this new mask from Erno Laszlo. (Fun fact: Erno Laszlo was Marilyn Monroe’s skincare of choice!) Parched skin was no match for the Hydra-Therapy Skin Vitality Treatment. It’s a fun modeling-like mask. You mix the included serum vial with a powder, stir, and you get a consistency that dries into a rubbery texture that lifts off. It instantly cools and moisturizes while plumping the skin. A little on the spendy-side, so you may wish to reserve for when your skin is in dire need of TLC. It boosted hydration in some DEFCON-1 thirst levels in both mine, and my cousin’s skin! Save a little bit of the serum before mixing, and apply it after you remove the mask for even more hydration benefits.
Battling rough surface texture? Try this one from Origins — Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. You’ll get some physical exfoliation due to jojoba beads, and some from Willowherb extract — while Mediterranean rose clay helps deeply purify. It’s kind of like a 1-2 punch against uneven texture and enlarged pores. What I love even more, is that it comes in a single use size for just $4 if you don’t want to commit to the full tube!
Soothe your skin with this 98% natural mask from new brand, Found if your skin is feeling a little aggravated. The Lotus Flower Calming Gel Mask contains aloe, lotus flower, rose water, and coconut to help reduce inflammation in a cooling gel-like texture. I used this immediately after doing some pretty aggressive extractions recently, and it took down a lot of redness in just 10 minutes. This can be used 2-3 times a week to soothe and replenish skin. Even better — it’s affordably priced.
When congested, oily pores are the problem, activated charcoal is a good problem solver. This tried and true classic from Origins acts like a magnet to detox pesky oil-clogged pores in just a few minutes. I like Clear Improvement because it’s a great oil-zapper, but it doesn’t overly dry my skin out — although I wouldn’t recommend it for dry skin types. Oily skin? No problem. China clay also detoxes. I love that this one also comes in a single-use size for those unexpected skincare emergencies for just $4.
I feel that my skin looks its best when it’s vibrant and glowy, that’s where this delicious face mask from fresh comes into play. Their Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask is loaded with skin-loving citrus fruits that not only act as AHA’s to exfoliate, but also as antioxidants and vitamins for nourishment. This banishes dull skin with just one 10 minute treatment, and improves over time with subsequent weekly treatments.
LOSS OF FIRMNESS
As I’m aging, I’m noticing more pronounced marionette lines (noooooo!), and a loss of firmness. I’ve found this additional mask by Erno Laszlo to be really helpful for giving me more plump and firm skin with a quickness! In just one 10 minute treatment with the Firmarine Lift Face Mask, I notice an immediate improvement in elasticity — it’s almost like my skin becomes more supple and bouncy. It plumps up my lines for the day like I can’t believe. This is one you’ll need to save your coins for, but I think it’s totally worth it — especially if you’re going to be photographed or play a role in a special event. Safe for all skin types, I highly recommend!
