Look what arrived this week! The new IT Cosmetics Miracle Water 3-in-1 Glow Tonic, and their Secret Sauce Moisturizer. I’ve tried these two times each, and I wanted to share my first impressions with you, and share them as soon as possible since these are such hot new products. IT Cosmetics is really upping their skincare game lately with their new releases, and these further illustrate that.
Both products are packaged in very pretty iridescent components. I hope you can see the prismatic effect in the photo above, because it’s truly gorgeous. At first I thought the Miracle Water was just micellar water — but it’s more than that. It’s what they call a ‘glow tonic’, and can be used like a toner or a makeup remover. While it will remove additional makeup that cleanser can leave behind — it has less of an astringent quality, and more of a skin-softening quality that moisturizes. The ‘3-in-1’ aspect refers to purifying, hydration, and treatment. Just apply it with a cotton pad, and sweep over your skin either to remove makeup, or after proper cleansing to tone. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance — not really any that I can tell, and it feels quite gentle.
I’m liking this so far, I really benefit from the skin-softening effects of it. It contains Vitamin C, diamond powder (I can’t visually see it), and licorice root for brightening. I think this will be good for all skin types. Miracle Water retails for $38, and is available on sephora.com.
Next up is Secret Sauce. What a hysterical name for a moisturizer! I think they’re trying to impress upon us that this moisturizer is really quite innovative — especially since they coin it as being a “Clinically Advanced Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer”. While I haven’t used this enough to see anti-aging benefits, I can say that my skin feels very silky after application, and it does a great job of hydrating. I usually wake up with my skin feeling a little tight in the mornings, but not when I have used this the prior evening.
IT Cosmetics says this is suitable for all skin types, but if you have oily skin, make sure to try a sample first, as it may feel a little heavy for you. I have combination skin and can only apply this in the evening due to the dewy look it leaves behind. (That’s just my personal experience.) This is supposed to help with dryness, dullness, and fine lines, and I can say so far that it does two of the three things. It contains Vitamin C and diamond powder that gives skin a lit-from-within-glow. It also contains peptides and hyaluronic acid for additional anti-aging benefits.
