I think my favorite thing about spring in the makeup world is the return of pastels, what’s yours? Of all the color trends I love to wear, I honestly don’t think there’s a better look on the nails than a romantic, pale shade of polish. It looks so crisp and clean, especially when it’s a shade close to your own skin tone. Refinery 29 calls this trend “foundation nails“, and I love it! The new True Collection from Zoya has a little bit of both; several sophisticated muted tones, and two that will make great “foundation nails” shades. Let’s take a look!
Comprised of six new colors, the shades in the True Collection deliver opacity in two coats. It may appear that after the first coat that there’s not a ton of coverage, but in two coats—I found the result to be nearly perfect. In typical Zoya style, there’s a great flow to the formula, but you may notice a little bit of skipping with Cho and Farah due to their barely-there shades. It’s nothing the second coat and top coat can’t fix however, so it all works out perfectly!
